Sarah comes to Canada's World with an incredible wealth of expertise in the creative arts, community outreach, and youth empowerment. Sarah has worked extensively in Africa and in North America in producing innovative media to address complex global issues. Her work has been showcased by Radio Canada International, the National Film Board of Canada, the Ontario Council for International Cooperation, large-scale festivals including The Montreal World Film Festival and Vues D'Afriques, and on television in both Canada and Africa.
Sarah has engaged a wide range of ethnocultural communities, particularly youth, in producing media to address social issues. She designed and coordinated a music video workshop at the UN International Children's Conference on the Environment in Victoria and was invited to present a pilot music television show by/for South African youth at Plan International's first Youth Media Development Forum in Mali.
Sarah has a Masters in Film and TV Production from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Media Arts Degree from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She also did an internship in South Africa with the International Institute for Child Rights and Development.
