Community Outreach Intern
Neha is currently finishing up a 2 year Master of Public Policy Degree at Simon Fraser University. For her Master's thesis she is analysing how prevention and management techniques can be used to decrease the incidence of Type 2 Diabetes among South Asians in Metro Vancouver. Along with a keen interest in Canadian foreign policy, Neha is passionate about issues of human development and international trade.
As an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia, Neha was involved in various community initiatives. She was an active member of Engineers Without Borders-UBC (EWB-UBC). She directed EWB-UBC's education outreach program that increased awareness of development related issues among high school and university students. Neha also went on a four-month EWB internship to the Philippines with the aim of increasing computer literacy among Filipino youth.
Neha has also been actively involved in the student government and was a counsellor of the Science Undergraduate Society for 2 years.
