Negin Shamshiri

Negin Shamshiri is a first year student in the 2011 Master of Public Policy program at the School of Public Policy and Governance, University of Toronto, where she is focused on immigration, citizenship, and disability. Upon graduation she hopes to work towards the mitigation of exclusionary policy resulting in structural inequities.

Negin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Toronto. She volunteers for the Elizabeth Fry Society of Toronto in their College Park court support program where she educates and offers resources to women who are in conflict with the law. She is active in her community, supporting equity and community betterment through local politics. Negin is also involved in activism through which she pursues justice and supports the struggle to protect citizen and human rights.
