Leah has a keen interest in how the internet can be used to strengthen social movements. More specifically, she’s enthusiastic about using online media to raise awareness, encourage collaboration and engage people around societal causes.
Leah’s worked for a number of Canadian environmental organizations in both web-based and off-line coordinator roles; positions which have focused mainly on pollution prevention, climate change, waste reduction and recycling issues. She’s a graduate of the University of Toronto’s International Development Studies Co-op Program where she received a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and spent a year working in Sri Lanka for a community capacity building project.
Leah currently works as a freelance contractor, providing information and administrative web services to small companies and organizations. She specializes in environmental and social sustainability and recently built a personal web site, LeahLink.com, a central hub for her work and blog. Leah also volunteers with the Light House Sustainable Building Centre in Vancouver.
