Jamie Tromp is in her final semester at Simon Fraser University's School of Communication where she is specializing in dialogue, media and culture. While attending SFU Jamie discovered dialogue in 2007 by participating in the Undergraduate Semester in Dialogue on Adaptations to Human Environmental Impacts. It is here where her passion for dialogue grew into a desire to become a facilitator. Following the undergraduate semester she further pursued her understanding of dialogue by completing a Diploma in Dialogue and Negotiation in 2008 through SFU's Continuing Education program.
Her love for the outdoors and travel recently led her to China, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia and Peru where she experienced firsthand many cultures and situations . This coupled with previous travel throughout Europe as well as living in Amsterdam for a period has helped her to see the benefits of dialogue. If traveling has taught her anything it is that there is an enormous need for dialogue around the world and this is one of the many reasons why she has joined Canada's World.
