Corinne Segura
Corinne is a student of International Development and Anthropology at the University of Toronto. She has recently returned from a year long internship with World University Service of Canada (WUSC) in Ghana, where she supervised and assisted field research into government policy, analysed research results, and planned and facilitated participatory advocacy campaigns to lobby for improved basic education. During this time she also conducted research on: “The Hidden Curriculum in Basic Schools in Ghana” for her undergraduate thesis. Back in Canada she can be seen taking a lead role on campus with Fair Trade and Ethical Purchasing Policy campaigns, and working with Canada's World to complete research on best practices for online engagement. In the community, she facilitates and helps plan workshops with Oxfam and Engineers Without Borders on the topics of global trade, food security and other Development issues.
