For the past three years, Jessica has served as the Youth Programming Director for Free The Children, the world's largest network of children helping children through education. As the Youth Programming Director, Jessica directed a department of fifteen staff throughout North America, working to empower youth to take action on social issues. In her position, she also created and implemented a process whereby youth members have been elected to the Free The Children Board of Directors. Jessica is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Jessica Bentley-Jacobs’ passion for Canadian foreign policy was ignited when she began her B.A. at McGill University. Throughout her years at university, she was extensively involved in Canadian politics working for various Members of Parliament and Provincial Parliament and participating in the political process. She graduated university with a focus on international relations and Canadian foreign policy. She believes strongly in an active democracy that promotes youth involvement. She also has extensive international volunteer and travel experiences in Central and South America.
