A SPECIAL BOOK LAUNCH
The SFU Centre for Dialogue, School for International Studies, Canada's World and CIC Vancouver invite you to a special evening with Daryl Copeland, author of the highly acclaimed book Guerrilla Diplomacy.
With increasing recognition now given to the notion that international security is dependent on progress and stability in the developing world, former Canadian diplomat Daryl Copeland argues in his new book Guerilla Diplomacy that development should replace defence as the key consideration at the centre of national foreign policies. Copeland offers both a call to action and an alternative approach to understanding contemporary international relations.

THE BOOK
"A tour de force…. Refreshing, insightful, innovative…. Finally, a new generation of diplomacy for a new generation of students of diplomacy."
-R.S. Zaharna, American University
"When diplomacy's current revolution is recorded in the history books, Copeland's extraordinarily compelling and prescient work will be acknowledged as one of the milestones of this turbulent period."
-Simon Anholt, UK Foreign Office Public Diplomacy Board
"With its holistic approach, the book is... a tool for navigation through a complex and intertwined system of multiple actors, levels, and problems -- and a guideline for advancing the role of diplomacy in a changed world."
-- Katharina Höne, Diplo Foundation
